It’s 11pm and a smoke filled rock club begins to swarm with people. The crowd tightly packs together. The atmosphere is one of heavy anticipation. In a few moments, four musicians from Rotterdam will be leading this crowd into a frenzy. The lights dim. The speakers rumble. Powerful drums, tight bass, heavy guitars and commanding vocals come together to break over the crowd like a tidal wave. Through their own expressive intensity and versatile creativity, the Army assures the people that it has indeed conquered the room.

The music M.O.A. makes is both dark and enigmatic as it is raw and uplifting. It is this versatility that separates My Own Army from the rest of the flock. It is with their own brand of progressive rock that M.O.A. will recruit you and lead you joyously with them to the battlefields.

In the summer of 2009, My Own Army released its first EP, “Throw Away the Silence.” They worked hard on solidifying their unique sound into album form. Today the band is preparing their full length CD. Expectations are high, but one thing is for certain, My Own Army will take the Dutch rock scene by storm and leave those unwilling to venture into battle quivering alone in their wake.

My Own Army is currently signed with DGR Music who are responsible for world wide promotion of their music via Itunes and Amazon. In addition to selling out The Watt in Rotterdam with their EP presentation, the Army has played gigs in large venues such as Paard van Troje, Bibelot, WATT, Speakers, Baroeg, and Wallenpop. The band has shared the stage with Danish band Grand Avenue, Voicst, Deathletters, Hangover Hero and Green Lizard and has had live airplay on 3FM and Kink FM.
